The most delicious caramel sauce in the world drizzled over pecans, this sauce takes under 5 minutes to make. This whisky caramel sauce is perfect on ice cream as well.You can slather pecans in the whisky caramel sauce and smoke them for a delicious, crispy treat!
ingredients
- 12 Caramel Creams® candies (unwrapped)
- 1 cup whisky
- 1 stick of salted butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 4 cups pecans (OPTIONAL)
instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat add Caramel Creams, butter, and brown sugar until melted.
- Gently stir in the whisky and mix well.
- Remove from heat, allow to cool, and then serve with apples, over ice cream, or any other treat!
Notes
OPTIONAL: Gently toss pecans in the warm whisky caramel sauce. Place the pecans in a cast iron skillet and then smoke on a Pit Barrel/BBQ Smoker for 2 hours. Stir occasionally.
