All you need is a chocolate cookie bar, Caramel Creams, and then a little bit of cookie dough to top it off.This bar bakes into a rich, chewy chocolate cookie bar filled with creamy caramel. Once you sink your teeth in, there’s no stopping!
ingredients
- 12 oz bag Goetze’s Caramel Creams
- 2 tbs heavy cream
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees, unwrap Caramel Creams, and place into a saucepan.
- Cook on medium heat and stir until caramels melt; keep warm and set aside.
- Cream the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and then stir in the egg and vanilla.
- Mix in the baking soda, salt, and flour; stir until combined and then fold in the chocolate chips.

- Press ¾ of the dough into a 9 x 9 inch greased baking pan and pour the caramel on top.
- Place remaining ¼ dough in dollops all over the top.
- Bake for 28-30 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges. Allow to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes.
